Perch's website lacked the tech-driven look and feel needed to showcase the advanced, data-focused nature of their product, instead resembling a typical fitness facility's site — falling short of reflecting their innovative positioning. As Perch expanded their product lineup, the existing user flows and navigation became confusing, unable to accommodate the new offerings within the original site structure, leaving users with a disjointed experience that didn’t fully capture the brand’s evolution.

Solution

We guided Perch through every step of the transformation, beginning with UX research to gain a deeper understanding of their business objectives, market, and audience. From there, we moved forward with a complete redesign — starting with moodboards and optimized user flows to enhance user experience, followed by detailed wireframes and mockups. The journey wrapped up with a smooth web development process on our go-to platform, Webflow, ensuring that Perch’s tech-forward brand and expanding product lineup were represented with clarity and impact.

Research-driven user experience

We analyzed data from Google Analytics and Hotjar, conducted targeted interviews with sports specialists, and developed user personas to deeply understand audience needs. Moodboards were created to align the website's visual style with user expectations, industry standards, and competitor analysis. We also carefully structured the site's navigation and user flows, effectively guiding visitors to maximize conversion opportunities.

Design that reflects innovation and performance

We transformed Perch’s website from a traditional fitness-style layout into a modern, dynamic design that accurately highlights their cutting-edge sports technology. Recognizing Perch’s dual role as a hardware and software provider, we strategically incorporated their powerful video content to showcase real-time athlete interactions with the products. This visual approach clearly emphasizes the advanced capabilities of Perch’s solutions, shifting user perception towards innovation and data-driven athletic performance.

Interactive pricing, simplified

We developed a custom pricing builder fully integrated with HubSpot, enabling users to explore and select pricing options. Built externally using GitHub for streamlined maintenance, this tool can easily be implemented across multiple pages or sites. Conditional logic also provides personalized user experiences, enhancing engagement and boosting potential conversions.

Optimized for speed and engagement

On this project, we again leveraged the Lumos Style Guide to ensure design consistency and scalability. Additionally, we adopted a fluid-responsive approach, keeping text clear and readable, even when users zoom or adjust browser font sizes—significantly enhancing accessibility. We also implemented aria-labels, helping browsers effectively read and describe content for users with disabilities. This approach delivered exceptional website performance, SEO optimization, smooth animations, and maintained fast loading speeds, despite extensive use of background video content.
